Oh my Gosh! People are actually reading this blog! Hi there!
I can see that people have been here on the site from the stats. My apologies to you all that there has not been a new post for a long time! I have not been to the site since late August. Life just got way too crazy (aka busy).
In short, on August 29th I was offered a job out of the blue. Sounded too good to be true so I jumped at the opportunity to try it out. You know the saying "If it sounds to good to be true then it probably isn't true"? Right! It turned out to be quite a ride! And it only lasted for 4 weeks.
Still, no regrets. I learned a lot about myself and I made a little money. Sadly one of the things I learned is that I am not ready to go back to work yet. No surprise really since everyone at the rehab center had just told me that the week before I took the job! But the good news is that I got a sense of what I am still able to do well. I also have a better sense of where the potholes are!
Then, on the heels of the above job, I started into the final sprint of packing up my Washington life and heading to Ohio to help my mom post surgery then drive her down to Florida and spend the winter with her. We are on the road heading down to Florida as I write this. Tonight I am sitting in a Hampton Inn near Bluffton, SC. . . . just thought I'd add that so it did not sound like I was sitting in the middle of a road somewhere . . . okay, I am tired so a little goofy.
