A Brain New Year!

Okay, I admit.  I couldn’t resist the pun!

I skipped out on a new year’s eve party tonight because I was just too tired.  (I had my wonderful goddaughters here for most of the week – they just left yesterday evening.)  But then I ended up staying up anyway!

I live on the side of a hill overlooking the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle.  I went out at midnight and watched the festivities. The fireworks were wonderful!  People were shooting them off all over Ballard and I had a wonderful view of them.

It is pretty cool to think back to new year’s night last year and compare it to this year.  I have come a long way in my healing and in reinventing myself into this new life.  I think 2011 is going to be a good year!  It is so nice to finally feel excited and hopeful about the future.
